As part of this project I wanted to push myself to enter more competitions and generally try and boost my confidence by attempting to get more of my work seen and potentially criticised as I feel that will help me when I venture out after uni.
I have been doing more and more, for example over the holidays I got involved with a lot of projects I would normally have shied away from. For example a diesel event and an lgbt celebrity judged bake off (i will include these later in this post)
For this competition, I initially ruled it out as it wasn’t something in my comfort zone but decided with the christmas lights turn on and the time of year I could experiment with shooting at night and enter them and see what happens.
The village bake off and diesel shoot I mentioned earlier have led to the images been used in various places – below are some screen captures .
